CSI: Realms - Round 1

    “Argh!” Saundra screamed as she slammed the door to her chambers, startling her lady-in-waiting who was resting in a nearby armchair. “How in the world could they suspect me? Those thick-headed imbeciles!”

    Rubbing the sand out of her eyes, Koralia rose out of her set. “Whatever is the matter my lady? You seems distrest?”

    “Remembered that person that came to get me earlier?” the elvenborne woman asked, tossing off her cloak off. The silk nightdress she wore was soiled near her feet.

    The commonborne gently shook her head in response, “No my lady, I was asleep at the time of his arrival. What was it about?”

    Changing out of the nightdress, Saundra replied, “Our friend from last night’s dinner went and got himself murdered!”

    Her lady in waiting gasped in shock before replying, “Say it isn’t so. He was such a lovely conversationalist.”

    “Well he’s deader than a doornail now,” Saundra replied, digging through the clothes she brought with her on the trip. Koralia decided to assist her lady in changing and set out a rather fine dress.

    Instead of getting dressed in the gown, the elvenborne woman pulled out the same traveling outfit she wore when she first arrived. “Are you planning to run, my lady?”

    “I’m not stupid enough to do that,” she replied, grabbing the slacks. “If I leave, everyone will think I did it. No, instead I’m off to help solve this case.”

    “Are you crazy?” Koralia replied stepping away, “Let the official's handle the case. What we need to do is get you some protection. Perhaps a pokemon to guard you?”

    The Squiain princess’s response was to withdraw the short sword from her travel supplies. Fastening it around her waist, she replied, “I have plenty of protection if you ask me. Now if you want to assist me, I suggest that you change as well.”

    Later, the two women left their room. Next to her, Saundra’s lady-in-waiting had changed in a fine riding dress. The two looked out of place as they started to return the crime scene. Koralia also was carrying a small bag at her side.

    “What are we doing?” the commonborne asked at they past through the streets.

    “Were you born in a gutter yesterday?” Saundra sassed. “We are going to look for clues. I want to make sure that the investigators have found everything before we look for our own leads. Besides there was something about how the poor sap was killed that is irking me the wrong way.”

    “What do you mean?” the lady-in-waiting asked as she avoided bumping into a passing man.

    “It’s been bugging me but, I think I saw someone killed in a similar fashion when I was younger. Hopefully seeing the corpse will help me connect the dots.”

    “I see, then maybe we might be able to solve this case after all.”

    “You sure catch on quick,” Saundra quietly mock her assistant before looking at the road ahead of her. “Now if only I could remember who was the murder from that last case....”
