The Wishing Tree - Miyu Stage 3

    [Careful,] Pearl said as she was rolled up the hillside, [I don’t want to go rolling down this hill.]

    [I know, so stop pestering me about it,] Quartz replied as she pushed, [Too bad you couldn’t just roll yourself up this hill though.]

    [Yeah.]

    [Come on you guys!] Donna shouted from the peak, [The show is going to start any minute!]

    [You could help you know!] the sableye replied with a piercing glare at her sister.

    The oddish waved her leafy hair down at them. [I don’t have hand to push with!] She was returned with a groan from the two still on the slope.

    After climbing the rest of the way up the tall hill, the three of them sat down in the frost covered grass. The view they had was breathtaking. Below was the great city, light still on as the citizens went on with their daily tasks. Underneath the three Pokémon on the hill where many of the other viewers who gather to watch the firework display with them. Above all of them the gloomy clouds broke apart, letting pockets of stars to appear.

    [Thank you two for inviting me to this,] the green voltorb replied as she carefully positioned herself between the two sisters.

    Wrapping an arm around her, Quartz chuckled, [You are most certainly welcomed. It’s a shame that the others didn’t want to come though.]

    Tracing a pocket of sky with her eyes, the oddish added, [I would have at least like to have Mom and Dad join us. They would have loved this view.]

    [Ugh,] Quartz said pointing a finger toward the inside of her open mouth, [I hate the fact that they went off to help that Toulouse boy “figure out what the bidoofs are up to.” We’re their family, shouldn’t we come first to them?]

    Rolling slightly to the left so she could look at Quartz’s eyes better, Pearl commented, [Maybe they are doing it so you two learn how to be adults. You know, make your own choices without them watching over. It’s a great way to allow one’s child learn how to problem solve on their own.]

    Leaning forward so she could look at the sableye as well, Donna added, [I have to admit, that does sound like a good idea on their part. I mean, think about what they would say if they saw us bring Pearl to this event?]

    [Hey.]

    [She isn’t insulting you Pearl,] Quartz replied. [Our parents can be considered over protective. But still it does sound funny to think what dad would say.]

    Standing up, she puffed out her chest and said in a harsher voice, [Now listen here young ladies. While your mother and I are willing to support you in making friends, I can’t allow you to be friends with someone who has a reputation of being so volatile.]

    While Donna broke out in laughter, Pearl on the other hand said, [I don’t get it, I’m a rather polite person.]

    The first of the fireworks began to fly as the sableye replied, [Well voltorbs tend to get a bad reputation for being short temper because they tend to explode a lot.]

[Ahhh,] Pearl said as the three of them gathered back around to watch the show as it took off.
